Himachal Pradesh kicks off UID project

Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday launched the unique identification project (UID). The service was started at Hamirpur by State Chief Minister P K Dhumal. Hamirpur, the smallest district in the state, has become the first district in Himachal to offer the UID service.This service will be available in the entire state within a year.
