Law will soon reach Vadra: BJP
Arvind Kejriwal had last week alleged that realty major DLF gave interest-free unsecured loan to Vadra's companies

Welcoming the further probe ordered by a Delhi court in the 2008 cash-for vote scam, BJP on Monday said that now it won't be long when hands of law would reach Robert Vadra, son-in-law of All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi.
A Delhi court on Monday ordered further probe into the 2008 cash-for-vote scam to "unearth the hidden truth" in the case in which Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh is also an accused.
"It is better late than never," senior BJP MP and incharge of Gujarat state Balbir Punj told reporters. "What happened in the parliament in 2008 everybody knows. The most sad part about the episode was that the people who exposed the scam have been penalised, while those who tried to bribe the MPs are roaming freely. Not only that they are even ruling the country," he added.
Punj further said, " This order of the court becomes significant in context of the recent serious allegations leveled against Vadra, a member of the royal family of the Congress. The hands of law are now soon going to reach the 'Gangotri' (epicenter) of corruption in the country."
Social activist turned politician Arvind Kejriwal had last week alleged that realty major DLF gave interest-free unsecured loan to Vadra's companies and also sold properties to him at throw-away price. He had further charged that the Haryana government favoured DLF by allotment of land. BJP has been demanding a judicial inquiry into the allegations.
Punj was in Ahmedabad to work out election strategy for the Gujarat assembly polls for the BJP. He was accompanied by BJP national spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman, who tragetted Union Law minister Salman Khurshid and suggested that he need to step down.
"Khurshid should be ready for independent and fair inquiry. But this is not possible if he holds the post of Law Minister. How can there be an independent probe if he holds the office of Law minister," Sitharaman said. She claimed that the Congress was running from any kind of investigation and are not ready to give answers.
Sitharaman further claimed that there was an anti-Congress wave in the country which was evident from by-election in past 2-3 years where the people have voted for non-congress governments.
Even the allies of the UPA are not confident that it will complete its full term, she said on query about statements made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and ex-CM of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati. "Contradictions with in the Congress would prove detrimental for the party," the BJP leader said.
Last week it was alleged that Khurshid's family-run trust Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust had embezzled funds meant for disabled people.
