The Jammu and Kashmir government has formulated a new policy for relief and rehabilitation of victims of militancy in the state, according to official sources.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>"The new policy, which has been sent to the Centre for approval, proposes to provide Rs 5 lakhs in cash as compensation instead of providing government jobs to the kin of the victims," the sources told PTI.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>"We are awaiting Centre's approval for its implementation in the state and to clear all pending cases," they added.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>According to the existing policy the family of the victim gets monetary compensation of Rs One lakh and the government provides a job to the next kin.</P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
