Police Summon Bhajan Lal

Police have asked former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal to appear before it in connection with investigations relating to alleged detention of former Haryana Public Service Commission chairman Gurmesh Bishnoi.

A case was registered here against Bhajan Lal on June 14 last year in connection with alleged detention of Bishnoi and his brother Balbir Singh.

Hisar SSP Harish Kumar, DSP Uday Shankar and two inspectors have been also been named in the FIR. The Punjab and Haryana High Court granted bail to the former Chief Minister on June 22, 1996 but ordered him to make himself available for investigations whenever required.
