RBI promotes Ajay Kumar as Executive Director effective August 20

Prior to becoming ED, Kumar was heading RBI's New Delhi Regional Office as regional director

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday said it has promoted Ajay Kumar as its new executive director (ED), effective August 20.

Prior to being promoted as ED, Kumar was heading the New Delhi Regional Office of the RBI as Regional Director.

RBI has now 12 executive directors, including a chief financial officer.
