Senior officer under scrutiny over irregularity in housing societies

A senior official with the cooperative department of Chhattisgarh government has come under the scanner of Economic Offence Wing (EOW) for alleged irregularities in the housing societies.

The sleuths of the EOW, an anti-corruption establishment of the state government, on Thursday raided the house of a senior cooperative inspector . The wing had received complaint against him that he had sold society’s plot illegally and had stored the official documents in the house instead of office. “The EOW had him sent notice time and again to come with the documents and prove his innocence on the issue,” Additional Director General of Police (EOW) D M Awasthy said.
