The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) today said Cable TV subscribers of the digital addressable TV systems will not get service if they failed to submit duly filled-in consumer application forms before June 25. "This is the final deadline. Some of the service providers have wilfully, brazenly violated the regulations. We have also gone to the extent of prosecuting one multi-system operator (MSO) and 14 local cable operators for non-compliance of regulations,"
Trai chairman Rahul Khullar told reporters today. Consumers need to indicate their choice of channels/services, to the respective cable operator/ MSO.
Consumers are required to submit the forms, indicating their choice of channels/services, to the respective Cable Operator/ MSO. However, the service will again be activated once the subscribers submit the filled-in forms.
