CPI-ML candidate from Gopalganj Lok Sabha constituency Jitendra Manjhi was today arrested from the district collectorate premises soon after he filed his nomination papers in Bihar.
An arrest warrant was pending against him since last year.
ASP Anil Kumar said Manjhi was wanted along with his supporters in case number 151/ 2013 related to vandalising the Vijaypur police station in the district.
"The warrant for vandalising was pending against him since last year. We tallied it with the list of warrants we have with us and executed it," said Kumar.
Manjhi had come with hundreds of supporters to file nomination papers in the morning.
