Indian Bank launches Visa business card for corporates

Public sector Indian Bank today launched Visa Business Card for Corporates and Small and Medium Enterprises.

The Visa Business Cards carry all the benefits associated with global cards, including insurance benefits free of cost, and are priced competitively, a bank release here said.

The cards offer an interest-free period of a maximum of 45 days and revolving credit on payment of minimum amount of 10 per cent of the outstanding.

The Chennai-headquartered bank also launched ATM Cards for its sponsored Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) for the benefit of the rural customers.

Chairman of Cavin Kare India Ltd C K Ranganathan formally launched the two cards at a function.

 

Commenting on the new initiative, Indian Bank Chairman and Managing Director Sundara Rajan said, "After achieving 100 per cent CBS for all the three RRBs, the Bank is now launching the Co-branded ATM cards.  This will enable rural customers to avail of 24x7 services."

Indian Bank ventured into credit card business in January 2006 and at present offers three variants of credit cards in personal segment -- Global Gold and Classic Card and Bharat Card, the release added.
