Shriram Transport Fin net profit up 34%

Shriram Transport Finance Company has reported a 34 per cent increase in the net profit during the third quarter ended December 31, 2008 to Rs 149.31 crore as against Rs 110.70 crore for the same period last year.

Company’s revenue during this quarter rose by 48 per cent to Rs 972.85 crore as against Rs 656.36 a year ago. Total AUM as on December 31, 2008 increased by 35.80 per cent to Rs 22,796 crore compared to Rs 16,786 crore in the same period last year.
