Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS), Pune a subordinate office under Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation has been awarded with ISO 9001:2015 certificate for providing R&D support and consultancy through specific/basic hydraulic research for project related to water resources power and coastal engineering. CWPRS is the principal central agency to cater to the research and development (R&D) needs of hydraulics and allied disciplines for evolving safe and economical designs of hydraulic structures involved in water resources projects, river engineering, power generation and coastal engineering projects.
Central Soil and Materials Research Station (CSMRS), New Delhi an attached office of Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation has been awarded with ISO 9001:2008 certificate for undertaking investigation, consultancy and research in the areas of soil mechanics and foundation engineering, Rock engineering, Concrete technology and allied areas and sharing of knowledge. CSMRS is a premier organization in the country dealing with the field and laboratory investigations and research in the areas of geotechnical engineering and civil engineering materials, particularly for construction of river valley projects and safety evaluation of existing dams. The Research Station is also involved in quality control of construction for various river valley projects.
