Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India has constituted an Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) to visit Haryana for assessing the situation and recommend requirement of Central assistance from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF). The Team will visit Haryana soon.
The Team will be led by Managing Director, National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Department of Agriculture & Cooperation (DAC) and will consist of representatives of Ministries/Departments Finance (Department of Expenditure), Planning Commission, Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Water Resources, Department of Food & Public Distribution, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries and Crops Division, Deptt. of Agriculture & Cooperation.
Govt. of Haryana (Revenue and Disaster Management Department) vide notification dated 02.09.2014 has declared entire State as drought affected for the purpose of extending relief/taking remedial measures for the affected people as per the norms laid down by the State Govt /Central Govt.
