Godrej Properties gains on new project in Kolkata

Shares of Godrej Properties were up over 5% at Rs 264 after the company announced a new residential project in Kolkata.

The real estate development arm of the Godrej Group has entered into an agreement to develop a residential project at Joka, South Kolkata, the company said in a release to the stock exchange today.

The proposed project will offer approximately 277,000 sqaure metres of saleable area and will be developed as a modern residential development, the release added.

The stock opened at Rs 257 and touched a high of Rs 268. At 9:25AM, over 3.5 million shares were traded on the stock exchanges.
