Shares of NIIT were up over 2% at Rs 84 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the global leader in skills and talent development, today announced the launch of NIIT.tv.
NIIT.tv is an internet TV portal that brings skilling from NIIT classrooms to every digitally connected Indian, for free, and can be accessed on a computer, tablet or smartphone anytime anywhere, the company said in a release.
In the initial phase, over 20 skill-based training programs in IT, Banking, Finance, Retail and Management will be made available through this platform adding that it will update the content and launch new courses as per industry requirements, the release added.
The stock opened at Rs 83.30 and touched a high of Rs 84.40. At 12:25PM, over 4.8 million shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
