Shares of Niraj Cement were up nearly 3% at Rs 22.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company announced that it has received a road project worth Rs 20.36 crore.
The Office of the Executive Engineer - Pkhulbani (R&B) Division has awarded a contract for improvement to Sankarakhole-Koinjhar-Paburia-Mandakia road (ODR) from 5/600km to 20/000 km, the company said in a release.
The aforesaid road project is under NABARD assistance RIDF-XXI, the release added.
The stock opened at Rs 22 and touched a high of Rs 24. At 12:20pm, over 95,000 shares were traded on the BSE.
