PE investment dips 35% in Q2

Private equity (PE) investments in India fell 35 per cent in the quarter ended June, compared to the corresponding period last year. According to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, PE firms invested $1.6 billion through 97 deals in the quarter, against $2.4 billion from 126 deals in the year-ago period. Deal volumes fell 23 per cent.
