Black pepper and jeera prices firmed by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists due to domestic and export demand.
Fall in supplies from producing regions also supported the rise in prices. Black pepper prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 20,000-20,100 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher at Rs 13,100-13,300 and Rs 14,500-14,900 per quintal.
Traders said increased buying by stockists following pick up in domestic and export demand, mainly pushed up pepper and jeera prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
