Provisional: Nifty regains 6,000; Financials gain

The broader markets ended higher with mid-caps and small-caps adding 0.5-0.7 per cent on the BSE.

Markets ended on a positive note this Wednesday with 50-share Nifty regaining 6,000 levels on back of buying witnessed in financials after country’s trade deficit narrowed to a two-and-a-half-year low in September.

Provisionally, the 30-share Sensex rose 275.53 points to end at 20,259.14 and the 50-share Nifty gained 85.55 points at 6,013.95 levels.
