Infosys Technologies, Digital Global Software, HCL Technolo- gies and Satyam are among the software stocks which declined to new lows today. Among old economy stocks, Hindalco, German Remedies, Reliance Petro and State Bank of India hit new lows.
With three sensex stocks, led by Infosys Technologies, Reliance Industries and Satyam Computer frozen at the lower level of 10 per cent circuit filter almost for the entire day, market capitalisation worth Rs 15,566 crore was eroded in a single day today. The top five stocks contributed 64.4 per cent of the total erosion.
Hindustan Lever, registered the biggest fall at Rs 3,601 crore as the stock fell by 7.81 per cent to close at Rs 193.65. Reliance Industries
