Sensex down 371pts; Jaiprakash sheds 7%

The NSE Nifty is down 110 points at 4,972.

Jaiprakash Associates has plunged over 7% to Rs 250.

Reliance has tumbled over 5.5% to Rs 2,518 while Reliance Energy has shed over 4.5% to Rs 1,331.

ACC, HDFC Bank and Hindalco have declined 4% each to Rs 713, Rs 1450 and Rs 173, respectively.

TCS and HDFC have dropped 2.7% each to Rs 917 and Rs 2,647, resepctively.

Bharti and ITC are up nearly 2% each at Rs 844 and Rs 219, respectively.

Out of 2,757 stocks traded, 1,936 have declined, 754 have advanced and 67 are unchanged.
