Sensex ends flat, BHEL gains 6%

The Sensex closed marginally higher at 7,768.

BHEL zoomed 6% (Rs 63) to Rs 1,121.

ACC gained 2.5% (Rs 11) to Rs 457. Hindalco added 1.5% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,424. Bajaj was up Rs 17 at Rs 1,409. Bharti moved up Rs 8 to Rs 318. Tisco and L&T also finished with gains.

HLL advanced Rs 3 to Rs 171. ITC was up Rs 7 at Rs 1,700. Reliance slipped Rs 4 to Rs 700.

Infosys declined Rs 8 to Rs 2,251. While Satyam dropped over 2% (Rs 12) to Rs 514, TCS was down Rs 13 at Rs 1,269. Wipro, however, was up Rs 6 at Rs 720.
