Sensex recovers; Ranbaxy slips 5.5%

The Sensex today opened at 11,237-down 92 points. The index reached a low of 11,176 and a high of 11,309.The current value of the index is now 11,308-down 19 points.

Ranbaxy has slipped around 5.5% to Rs 166. Tata Power has declined over 2.5% to Rs 861.

HDFC, ICICI Bank and Maruti Suzuki is low over 2% each at Rs 1,761, Rs 422 and Rs 786, respectively.

Wipro, Infosys, Sun Pharma, SBI and Reliance Infrastructures is down over 2.5% each at Rs 306, Rs 1,423, Rs 1,175, 1,286 and Rs 728, respectively.

Sterlite and Tata Steel on the other hand have advanced  over 1% each at Rs 403 and Rs 264, respectively.
