Sugar ends quiet on some support

Sugar prices ended quiet in the national capital today, following adequate stocks position amid sporadic demand.

Marketmen said apart from marriage season demand, sufficient availability of stocks into the market mainly held prices unaltered.

The following are today's quotations (in rupees per quintal):

Sugar ready: M-30 3,325-3,450, S-30 3,300-3,440.

Mill delivery: M-30 3,200-3,400; S-30 3,175-3,350.

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty):

Mawana 3,290, Titabi 3,300, Thanabhavan 3,240, Budhana 3230 and Dorala 3,320.
