Turmeric futures prices rose by Rs 152, or 0.99 per cent, to Rs 15,480 per quintal today on brisk buying by speculators backed by rising demand against restricted supply in the physical markets.
The spice for delivery at the Multi Commodity Exchange counter for October rose by Rs 152, or 0.99 per cent to Rs 15,480 per quintal, with a trading volume of 8,760 lots, while delivery for November rose by Rs 76, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 13,006 a quintal in 8,885 lots.
