Volatile Sensex up 140pts; Hindalco gains 6%

The Sensex continues to swing between zones and is now up 142 points at 9,150.

Reliance Communications has tumbled over 9% to Rs 196. Ranbaxy has plunged over 7% to Rs 178, and Tata Motors has slumped over 6% to Rs 145.

Satyam has shed 5.8% at Rs 282. Maruti has dropped over 5% to Rs 521.

ITC, Hindustan Unilever and DLF have slipped around 3.5% each to Rs 150, Rs 211 and Rs 210, respectively.

SBI has declined nearly 3% to Rs 1,090, and Grasim is down 2.3% at Rs 1,005.

Hindalco has surged 5.7% to Rs 48. Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys and Jaiprakash Associates have rallied over 4% each to Rs 292, Rs 1,333 and Rs 62, respectively.

 

ACC and Bharti Airtel have moved up over 3% each to Rs 457 and Rs 631, respectively.

TCS, Reliance and HDFC have advanced nearly 3% each to Rs 556, rs 1,185 and Rs 1,592, respectively.

BHEL and ONGC are up around 2.5% each at Rs 1,177 and Rs 660, respectively.
