VST Tillers Tractors has moved higher by 11% to Rs 789, also its record high on the NSE, after reporting a robust 67% year-on-year (yoy) jump in net profit at Rs 21.58 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013 (Q3), on back of strong operational income. The commercial vehicle maker had profit of Rs 12.92 crore in the same quarter year ago.
Net sales of the company during the quarter rose 31% to Rs 160 crore against Rs 123 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, VST Tillers Tractors said in a statement.
EBITDA or operating profit margins expanded 300bps to 19.14% from 15.92%.
The stock opened at Rs 165 and touched a low of Rs 718 in early morning deals on the NSE. A combined around 174,000 shares changed hands on the counter so far on the NSE and BSE.
