11 dead after bus plunges into gorge in Poonch

As many as 11 people were killed and several injured after a passenger bus skidded off a steep mountain road and plunged into a deep gorge in Pooch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

The accident occurred when the bus carrying dozens of passengers was heading towards Loran area from Poonch this morning.

The actual cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

The injured passengers have been rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. Those who were critically injured were shifted to a sub-district hospital in Mandi.
