The Congress party on Wednesday alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has become an 'Arvind Arvind Party', and said the ruling party in Delhi has proved to be different only in terms of its autocracy.
"The Congress will not interfere in whom the party wants to keep in and whom they want to throw out. This is the internal matter of the AAP. But the truth of the matter is AAP has become 'Arvind Arvind Party'," said Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.
"A party which said it is going to be different has proved to be different only in its autocracy. There are also issues with regard to funding and autocracy," he added.
The Congress leader's reaction came after Anjali Damania quit the AAP and criticized the internal friction within the party.
Expressing disappointment with the ongoing infighting in the Arvind Kejriwal-led party, Damania earlier in the day announced her decision to quit and said that she had not joined the AAP for 'this nonsense'.
"I quit, I have not come into AAP for this nonsense. I believed him, I backed Arvind for principles not horse-trading," she tweeted.
Damania's move comes in wake of majority of the AAP legislators signing the petition seeking the expulsion of party 'rebels'Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav.
