At least four people were killed in separate incidents of violence across the city of Karachi in Pakistan on Wednesday.
According to Dawn, two people were gunned down in Lyari's Bihar Colony and Shah Faisal Colony while one person was shot dead in Liaquatabad's Sheesh Mahal area.
The victim's attacker was later arrested and weapons were seized from his possession.
Meanwhile, a targeted operation in Karachi's Jamali Goth area by a contingent of Rangers led to the arrest of seven people.
The Rangers conducted the targeted operation following a tip-off.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition, including mortars, was seized from the possession of those arrested, the report said.
Under a directive issued by the Pakistani federal government against criminals, who have already been identified by federal, military and civilian agencies, targeted operations are being conducted by the Rangers with the support of the police.
