"Maharashtra is one of the priority Indian states for Australia's engagement. Maharashtra has many attributes that appeal to Australian business. It is India's largest state economy, the country's financial and business capital, and home to some of India's leading educational and research institutions," Australia's High Commissioner to India, Mr Patrick Suckling said.
"As a forward-looking and progressive state, we see tremendous potential for doing more business with Maharashtra," Mr Suckling added.
Robb and Fadnavis discussed collaboration in infrastructure, financial services, urban development, agribusiness, water management and other areas.
