Badal congratulates Amit Shah on becoming BJP president

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Parkash Singh Badal today congratulated Amit Shah for taking charge as president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Badal, who paid a courtesy call to the newly appointed BJP president, said, "My visit is to congratulate Amit Shah. I am very happy that someone like Amit Shah has taken charge as the BJP president after Modi became the Prime Minister. I hope they will work for the poor people."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's close aide Amit Shah took charge as the BJP's new president on Wednesday.

Regarding Shah's takeover, former party president Rajnath Singh had said, "He has all the capabilities and management skills required for the strengthening of organization.
