Gareth Bale scored against his former club Tottenham Hotspur as Real Madrid claimed a convincing 2-0 win over the Premier League club in a friendly at the pre-season Audi Cup in Germany.
James Rodriguez put Real ahead in the 36th minute before Bale doubled the lead in the second half. The Wales international was playing against Tottenham for the first time since his 85.3 million world record transfer to the Spanish giants, the BBC reported.
While star player Harry Kane started for Spurs, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema pulled out of the game due to their respective injuries.
