Ben Mendelsohn is circling a lead role in upcoming 'Star Wars' spinoff 'Rogue One.'
The project, which would be helmed by Gareth Edwards, has already cast Oscar nominated actress Felicity Jones in the lead, Deadline.com reported.
The 45-year-old Aussie actor is known for his work in films like 'Exodus: Gods And Kings', 'Killing Them Softly' and 'The Dark Knight Rises.' His performance in the new Netflix series 'Bloodline' is also much praised, and may just put him in consideration for an Emmy.
