The Bihar Governor has accepted Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's recommendation for dismissal of Road Construction Minister Lallan Singh and Forest Minister P. K. Shahi.
Manjhi had sent a recommendation to Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi to sack Singh and Shahi, who are reportedly close to his predecessor Nitish Kumar and also supporting his removal from the chief minister's post. The Bihar Chief Minister had accused the duo of conspiring against him.
Manjhi has also appealed to the Governor for dissolution of the state assembly in the wake of the political deadlock in the state.
However, the proposal of authorizing Manjhi to dissolve the state assembly was rejected by the majority of cabinet ministers.
"Proposal of authorizing the Bihar Chief Minister to dissolve the state assembly was introduced but only seven ministers supported it. It was rejected by all others," said Janata Dal (United) leader Bijendra Yadav

Meanwhile, the ministers supporting Manjhi have decided to boycott the MLAs meeting called by party JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav.
Manjhi, who has embarrassed his party on several occasions during his short tenure as chief minister, earlier declared a meeting called today by party chief Sharad Yadav as 'illegal'.
Nitish Kumar , who had resigned as the chief minister owning responsibility for his party getting only two of Bihar's 40 Lok Sabha seats, had handpicked Manjhi to take his place.
