Bihar is again heading towards 'jungle raj': Rudy

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Saturday criticized Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi over his 'chopping hands' remark, saying Bihar is once again heading towards ''jungle raj'.

"Such a statement coming from the Bihar Chief Minister is not surprising, because Bihar has gone back to the same old recipe of Lalu Yadav, which we call as 'jungle raj'," Rudy told ANI here.

"Today, the government in Bihar is jointly shared by Nitish Kumar, who has gone into the lap of Lalu Yadav, and the Congress. Together, they had decided to make Jitan Ram Manjhi the chief minister," he added.

Manjhi had earlier on Friday said that he will cut off the hands of those found playing with the lives of the poor while referring to the doctors who have been treating those injured in the recent stampede at Patna's Gandhi Maidan.

Thirty-three people lost their lives and several injured in the stampede that took place at the Gandhi Maidan on October 3 during the Dussehra celebrations.

All the patients are being provided free of cost treatment at the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
