The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday condemned the desceration of a Hindu temple in the United States and sought strict action against the guilty.
"There have been a series of incidents in the last few days. The unfortunate desecration of a temple, the shooting of an Indian person, the elderly gentleman who was forcibly brought down by the police officers.....all of these are certainly are condemnable and they raise questions...... I think every country has to work towards tolerance," BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli told ANI here.
"With regard to this incident we hope that the perpetrators are caught..justice is given to those who have suffered and at the same time such incidents don't take place again," he said.
According to reports, a Hindu temple was vandalised with hate message and swastika spray-painted on its wall in the US state of Washington.
Unidentified miscreants painted "Get Out" on one of the walls of the temple in the Seattle Metropolitan area.
