Rajnath Singh meets Bangladesh's senior Secretary of Home Affairs

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh met Mohammad Mozammel Haque Khan, the senior Secretary of Home Affairs of Bangladesh, ahead of Home Secretary-level talks between the two countries.

Khan was also scheduled to meet Home Secretary L.C. Goyal for talks on cross-border movements of people and goods, border cooperation in counter-terror initiatives.

India's links with Bangladesh are civilisational, cultural, social and economic.

Earlier on February 14, Singh had visited border areas of Tripura to review the progress of fencing work.
