Cabinet announces 6 percent hike on DA for govt. employees, pensioners

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced a six percent hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees and pensioners on Tuesday.

With this hike, the DA increases from the previous 107 percent of basic pay to 113 percent.

According to reports, the Cabinet approved the Real Estate Regulatory Bill, which aims at the curbing of malpractices and harassment in the real estate sector.
