Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad on Tuesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) should focus on helping dengue patients, rather than blaming each other or politicising it.

"It is a very sad situation. And, instead of helping dengue patients, they (BJP and AAP) are fighting among themselves, blaming each other. This is really unfortunate that they are politicising. They should forget everything and should help the dengue-affected people ," Ahmad told ANI.

As per the New Delhi Municipal Corporation's fresh data released yesterday, 613 cases of dengue have been reported in the last one week, and a total 1,872 patients have tested positive for the vector borne disease till September 12

Commenting on the tussle of the seat sharing among various parties in NDA Ahmad further added that "It is their issue as to who is angry on what and who wants to stay in the alliance and who doesn't. I don't want to say anything on this.
