Chinese gamers hiring 'online escorts' to keep them company

Gamers in China are reportedly hiring "online female escorts" costing between 20 and 100 yuan to keep them company while they play.

According to BBC, some women also demonstrate games and advise them via a face-to-face chat.

One escort company said that the women do not necessarily have to be skilled gamers and having a "sweet voice" is a more important feature.

One of the escorts, Zhang Jun, 26, said that she makes around 6000 yuan per month, a respectable Chinese wage.
