The Congress on Wednesday staged a protest at the Gandhi statue in Parliament premises over the suspension of party MPs from Lok Sabha.
Protesting for the second day, the Congress leaders wore black bands in protest.
The protest was joined by several other opposition parties at the Gandhi Statue at Parliament premises.
"Smt.Sonia Gandhi leads protest, as several opposition parties join in today at Gandhi Statue #BJPkilledDemocracy," the official Twitter account of Indian National Congress posted.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said, "They have decided to keep us out. So, we are sitting outside and will keep protesting."
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had earlier this week suspended 25 Congress MPs over disruption of parliamentary proceedings under ruling 374 (A), leading to outrage from various quarters.
