England skipper Alastair Cook has slammed David Warner as disrespectful in a sour aftermath to the first Ashes Test.

According to Sport24, Australia's huge 381-run victory was tarnished by constant sledging between the players and in one instance finger pointing by Australia captain Michael Clarke to England fast bowler James Anderson.

Warner said that it does look like England has got scared eyes at the moment, referring to batsmen like Jonathan Trott.

Cook said Warner had been disrespectful in his comments.

England and Australia are playing 10 Ashes Tests compressed into in seven months, the report said.

However, Australian captain Michael Clarke said there were no personal animosities between both sets of players.
