Death penalty only for terrorism, waging war against India: Justice AP Shah (Update)

The Law Commission chairman Justice AP Shah on Monday said the commission in its latest report has recommended abolition of death penalty for all crimes, except offences related to terror or the offence of waging war against the country.
"The Law Commission has given its 262nd report. And the recommendation is that the death penalty be abolished immediately for the offences other than terror related offences or offence of waging war against India," Shah told ANI.
