The dates for the assembly by-polls in Maharashtra and Haryana are expected to be announced on Friday.
According to the reports, the Election Commission of India (ECI) will be holding a press conference later in the day to announce the dates for the by-polls.
The term of the Haryana Assembly expires on October 27 and of the Maharashtra Assembly on November 8.
The BJP had earlier this week released the first list of 43 candidates for the assembly elections in Haryana.
