Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney reportedly made an emotional phone call to David Moyes after the Scot had been sacked from his post and is said to have been 'raging' at some players who are rejoicing in his departure.
Rooney after learning that Moyes had been sacked as United boss immediately called the Scot and reportedly thanked him for the role he played in helping secure the striker's future last summer when it looked as if the England star would leave Old Trafford following a spat with departing manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
