The US has warned India and Pakistan that terrorist groups would continue to conduct spectacular attacks to undermine the peace process but they should be stopped in their mission.

State Department spokesman John Kirby said that he wanted India and Pakistan to continue to have a dialogue and to cooperate against a common threat, reports the Dawn.

Kirby said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif committing to fight against terrorism post the attack on the Pathankot air base was a 'welcome step'.
