Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha on Friday said that in next two years every village in the nation will have mobile connectivity.
"It doesn't matter whether the person is poor or rich in the nation anymore. Now who stays online and who stays offline is of more importance," Sinha stated.
The campaign was launched on July 2 2015, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The initiative includes plans to connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks.
