Former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has reportedly joined Serie A club AS Roma on a two-year deal.
The Italian Serie A side tweeted a picture of Cole and confirmed on their website that the defender has signed a contract with Roma until 2016.
According to the BBC, former England left-back Cole was a free agent after Chelsea opted not to offer him a new deal at the end of his eight season at the club.
Cole tweeted that he would never forget his time in England, adding that it was a pleasure, but now he is onto a new challenge.
Cole joined Chelsea in 2006 and won the Premier League in 2010 and the Champions League in 2012 with the club.
The defender also won four FA Cups with Chelsea to add to the three he lifted with Arsenal, where he was a Premier League champion twice.
Roma would compete in the Champions League this season after finishing as runners-up in Serie A last term, the report added.
