ANI Washington DC

The Federal Drug Enforcement Administration has now got involved in Prince's death investigation and drugs are the focal point of the criminal probe.

DEA and the Minnesota Attorney General are looking into the various prescriptions that were written for the 'Purple Rain' singer, reports TMZ.com.

Prince had a life-threatening Percocet addiction and authorities believe opiates will likely be either the sole or at least, a significant factor in his death.

Reportedly, the toxicology reports will still take a week to get released, although earlier it was set to be released 2 weeks after the autopsy.
