Five suspected ISI agents were gunned down by the police on Tuesday at the Nalgonda-Warangal border in Telangana.
The five men were being shifted from Warangal jail to Hyderabad but tried to escape by attacking their escorts. The police resorted to firing when they snatched the guns of the escorts.
Meanwhile, security has been enhanced all over the state following the incident.
